Today…The Flatwoods Monster!

Yes, indeed, we’re going to talk about UFOs today! Grassroots UFOs. Going to ignore what the media and TV say, even what the former president (Clinton) says, and we’re going right to the source, in America anyway, and that’s the American people. Those who have encountered the phenomenon first hand. I’ll be doing a couple of shows about this, as I open my UFO case files and share exclusive interviews and excerpts, some of which have never been heard or aired before.

While we examine some of the latest news, including the U. S. Navy’s newest X-37B “space plane,” pictured at left (and I don’t have to point out its similarities with the general shape of the so-called “Monster” in the above photo), President Obama’s re-missioning of NASA and how that benefits billionaire industrialists, and physicist Stephen Hawking’s statement regarding the existence of space aliens, the main focus today is on one of the most enigmatic and famous UFO cases you probably never heard of.

When it happened…

Harry S. Truman was in the White House. Ike Eisenhower was running for the presidency.
Gasoline was 20 Cents per gallon.
The first Kentucky Fried Chicken sore opened here in Kentucky.
Two out of every three American families had a telephone
One in three homes had a television.
A popular movie was “Red Planet Mars.”
The summer Olympics were wrapped up in July, the same month when, according to press reports, a swarm of UFOs broke restricted air space over the White House and the US Capitol in Washington DC on several occasions.
And that got the attention of a US Air Force operation that had been put in place earlier in the year. It was called, Project Blue Book.

Months later, though, Blue Book personnel would be called to investigate a very bizarre case in West Virginia.

So, in this podcast you can hear 18 excerpted minutes of an exclusive interview I conducted with the only adult witness to the wild “Flatwoods Green Monster” case of 1952 in West Virginia.

Well, one of the things I most enjoy about podcasting or blogging or writing in general is that it challenges me to put into words what previously may have been a feeling or belief that had not been previously formalized this way before. It’s one thing to believe or hold something dear, but it’s quite another to see it before you, standing naked and shivering before your eyes, warts and all! I guess I’ve been writing about religion and UFOs for a long time in one way or another, but trying to tackle them in a single podcast is a whole new proposition. So please know, there’s much more to what I think about the subjects than you will hear in this episode. (And there is a lot about them in previous podcast episodes.)

And—this is really important to me—I do not wish to step on anyone’s toes vis a vis what you may think about these subject. I’m not sure it is possible to write about something like this without shaking somebody’s tree, and for sure, I’m going against the advice my grandfather once gave me to never talk about politics or religion (he never mentioned UFOs) because it is bound to make someone mad. So I apologize now if this makes you mad.

Maybe it will help avert some anger if you know that, probably just like you, I find religion to be amorphous and hard to pin down. And that I do not as yet have a definitive idea of what it is. I know that it has a good side, and that it has sacred texts that contain much wisdom. I have read a lot of those texts and find them to speak to the better part of me. But then again, I also acknowledge that no religion is perfect, and thus no religion has a corner on the spirit market. So, in that vein, I think we are all looking and wondering, prodding and plodding, questioning and guessing about this subject of religion, and the object of its existence, God, or spirit or whatever you want to call it. In short, I don’t believe anyone really knows the true nature of God, but when we can distance ourselves from needing to believe one thing or another God, including whether or not we even believe in God’s existence, we are then free to consider the subject with our minds and our hearts, to let ourselves open to experience what I call the Dance with the Divine.

Grab the light saber once again, Jedi Alice (or Al), it’s time to plunge down the rabbit hole for a look at spiritual warriorship. We will take a cross-cultural tour of the concept, then learn how to get ready to learn some warriorship lessons directly from Spirit.

As I’ve said before, change is upon us. But the trick is in knowing that change is ALWAYS upon us. No single generation is history has been spared great change. And today, there are countless people willing to tell us what the changes will be and how we can prepare for them.

I see some who channel archangels, others who gauge the future by accumulating key words from internet traffic, and still others who rely on more ancient forms of divination to pry open the lid to the future. As you can imagine, each one is different, and sometimes at great opposition to one another. But they all definitely agree that change is here.

I think we are creating the future with each breath we take and with each choice we make. These collective actions determine the future more than anything else I know. Of course there are other influences at work to push us one way or another, and I let the identification of these to others, like recent guests on this podcast, Jessica Murray and John Hogue, along with a host of others we’ve discussed.

Still in all, though, my work as a shamanic practitioner is focused on helping individuals in any way I can, generally in terms of helping them to heal spiritual wounds and to find self empowerment. And in times like these, people are indeed asking for suggestions on ways to prepare for the changes ahead.

Personally, I think you already know about change and are doing a lot of things instinctively to prepare for it. But perhaps you feel a need for greater strength. And that starts with being a spiritual warrior.

So listen in and we’ll take a journey around the altered state of consciousness block.

Time for another trip down the rabbit hole, Jedi Knight!

In the U.S. Declaration of Independence, the revolutionary idea was that divine providence was understood as the means by which common people could step beyond the tyranny of priest kings and economic despots to establish a nation of self rule and personal expression. In this two-part podcast, we may be reminded of the same revolutionary urging, as once again, the world is increasingly being held in the hands of the few who tend the minds of the many and enslave their labor for profit and power.

In Part One, we’re going to make our way along the web of confusion we often encounter when considering politics, religion, philosophy and even the paranormal and how they contribute to alienating each of us from one another, as well as from our true selves. And then we will shine a light on something called the Hegelian Debate and its part in the internecine disruptions of our society.

Part One ends with a call to express our own declaration of independence… from our egos! And to make our own pledge of allegiance to our unalienable hearts and to each other!

We blasted down the rabbit hole in Part One and took out Roswell in the process, so in Part Two let’s look at some other things not generally included in “retail” Ufology in order to round out the Matrix of UFO Belief document cited. Never would I discount any of the possibilities offered in the Matrix, but you are already familiar with many of them. I want to look behind the screen to what else may be there. Fascinating stuff, and then we turn to politics one more time before moving on to a wrap.

Wow, what an undertaking! It was like trying to unweave a tapestry in order to examine the threads.

The Alien Abduction phenomenon appears to be about much more than is generally portrayed, so get ready for some big surprises as we cruise past the Bible, psychology, eyewitness accounts, secret government mind control programs–take a shortcut to debunk Roswell–then hear President Kennedy, and even examine presidential candidates Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney, all in a flat out, breathtaking chase for something that may be closer than we think!

I thank Bob Maus, The Tiler, Rich Batsford, Father Rock, and James Underberg for their wonderful music featured in these two ‘casts.
